I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help....[i]
The past four years my eyes have continually surveyed the mountains. I have looked for strength from family, friends, and from the Creator who made heaven and earth.
And what have I learned living in the Rocky Mountains?
I have learned that the story I live does not guarantee me the role of leading actor. Plots do not climax based on my resolutions. Parts I play, however, afford opportunities for extended character development.
I have learned that compassion is something we can put one. That donning mercy for others clothes us with an enabling that covers many of our own imperfections.
I have learned that being a mother is a lifetime calling. One that shines hope on days that shadow professional prominence. Mothering summons much virtue so often I look to the hills for help.
